I was going to blog about something else entirely, but this just begs to be discussed. My first reaction when I saw this was, could it be a prank from Conan O’Brien’s “If They Mated” segment?
But it’s too pretty to be a prank.
Too pretty, in fact, to be reality either.
But it’s free to dream, so let’s still check it out shall we? I’m talking about the rumored “Macbook Touch” — a Macbook built to resemble the iTouch, with all its touchscreen capabilities.

I’m running out of words, so we might as well just quote MacDailyNews:
“Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured multi-touch. Gesture library. Full Mac OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion’s haptic tech. Slot-loading SuperDrive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty expensive to produce initially, but sold at “low” price that will reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will. This is some sick shit. App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps, too. By October at the latest.”
If that’s not shocking then I don’t know what is.

From the makers of the lovely NOYP laptop sleeves comes another sturdy and stylish way to carry your beloved notebooks around.
Cathy’s Bags offers the Marlene — a solid laptop bag with thick cushioning that ensures top-notch protection for your Macbook or PC. Though it comes in the usual black, the Marlene is also available in quirky colors and combinations such as Pink/Zebra, Lemon/Zebra, Brown/Croc and Red/Croc. Personally, I’m not really fond of animal prints. With the Marlene, though, just a touch of the print provides sharp contrast and interesting detail to the off-beat colors.
My personal favorite is the Pink/Zebra, mainly because I love pink, and also because the zebra stripes stand out and make the bag much more interesting.

I’m completely, incurably obsessive-compulsive.
It’s not that I need everything extremely neat — or maybe I do. Anyway, I’m obsessed with keeping white things white, apart from keeping refrigerator doors closed, rubik cubes solved and charts perfect. It’s a disease.
Anyway, owning a pretty white Macbook has thrown my otherwise structured life into an abyss.
I keep fighting the urge to clean it every single minute, because every minute speck of dust just glares out like some challenger trying to drive me insane. I want to scrub it into a pristine state, but it would take constant cleaning and gloved hands to achieve that.
So what to do?

If you’re every inch just as obsessive-compulsive as I am, I’m sure you’re always on the prowl for stylish yet functional laptop sleeves to protect your expensive little baby.
I bought my beloved Macbook (christened “MacLovin”) a few months back, and finding a good laptop sleeve that can protect my darling was first in the order of battle.
One thing about having a laptop is that you’ll be pretty much
dragging it all over town. Otherwise, there’s just no point. A desktop would be sufficient. Now let’s say you do need (and want!) a laptop. You have to find a sleeve that can help protect it from the stresses that constant travel can cause. It has to be thick enough and snug enough to keep your laptop — and the data inside it — safe.
Most of the sleeves I find tend to be expensive; they look chunky, too stiff and are often boring to boot. Being the fashionable geek that I am, I wanted something that made sense but still looked pretty enough to lug around.
