How many times have you been in search of a particular software, only to find conflicting and — at times — near incoherent babbling from various forums, blogs and websites? If you’re like me, too many times is probably your answer. True, the internet is the modern world’s fountain of knowledge. Unfortunately, separating “knowledge” from “pointless use of web space” is quite difficult and time consuming.

This is where Gadget Advisor comes in. Need to find the best Firefox extensions or best Windows software downloads? Look no further. The site cuts out all the crap and features only the best resources for hardware, software, gadgets and everything else in between. Gadget Advisor chews up the latest tech news for you, giving you only the most relevant, important and significant information you need.

Plus, the website also reviews key software, hardware and gadgets — giving readers more opportunities and products to choose from. Want to read a review for Blaze Media Pro? Gadget Advisor’s the place to go!

Sure, I’ve wished for a way to convey my road rage in a more techie manner before, but this might be taking it a bit far.

In a nutshell, the Drivemocion is a LED display you can stick on the back of your car. Using a remote, convey your emotions to the driver behind you. Choose from a smiley, a frown, a stern “back off!” and a rather hostilely extended middle finger.

Of course you can always just roll down your window and hurl invectives, but that wouldn’t be so geeky now would it?

Its EEEs actually played to the current obsession with colorful laptops, but these new PC901 and 1000H editions are just going a little too off the radar. Somewhere in Taiwan, an Asus engineer thinks to himself, “yes, girls will go crazy over these hot pink and neon lime editions”.

He may or may not be wrong.

After all, the marketing team did something quite intelligent: ship off the colorful new editions to Korea, where nothing is tacky enough to turn off screaming girls.

“If the wearer is at work, it can be set to its ‘efficiency’ mode; the display is informative and easy to read. If, however, the watch is set to its ‘mystery’ mode, the panel expresses the time in a more imaginative, evocative style. Just pick the style to reflect your mood!”

The result is a pretty yet still functional watch. It’s unnecessary, certainly, but so is the spork (spoon+fork). That doesn’t stop people from manufacturing and buying it.

Anyway, I don’t know if this actually sold anywhere, but if it is then, well, you know what to get me for my birthday.

I can go on and on for hours, popping the bubble wrap continuously. Others may be annoyed by the sound, but not me. I sometimes keep the bubble wrap by my desk days after the gadget arrived.

As embarrassing as it may be to admit this, I sometimes spend more time with the bubble wrap than the gadget itself. But it’s not everyday that you find a good piece of bubble wrap. How do you feed your wanting hands then?

Bandai has a solution for you. Puchi Puchi is Japan’s version of the bubble wrap, only it’s practically eternal. You can just keep on popping and popping till you get tired of the activity yourself. A keychain, Puchi Puchi bubble wrap-popping happiness can be yours for only $6.6. Comes in pink, blue, black and white.

Back when cellphones were newfangled items, I went crazy over the array of casings available. You could have a pink phone one day and a blinged-out zebra print one the next. It was just … fun having all these colors and varieties to choose from.

Unfortunately, such an opportunity to display female fickle-mindedness comes rarely to other gadgets, such as laptops, for example. So we make do with colorful laptop sleeves, stickers, bags and other accessories available.
