Seiko’s Electronic Ink Watch for Women

Posted by: User Imagekaydee (Who am I?)  /  Category: fashion accessories

Based on the winner of the 2006 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (please don’t ask me to pronounce that for you), Seiko introduced its Electronic Ink watch for women in 2007.  This bangle watch is encased in sapphire crystal and can change the display from functional to romantic in seconds flat.

“If the wearer is at work, it can be set to its ‘efficiency’ mode; the display is informative and easy to read. If, however, the watch is set to its ‘mystery’ mode, the panel expresses the time in a more imaginative, evocative style. Just pick the style to reflect your mood!”

The result is a pretty yet still functional watch.  It’s unnecessary, certainly, but so is the spork (spoon+fork).  That doesn’t stop people from manufacturing and buying it.

Anyway, I don’t know if this actually sold anywhere, but if it is then, well, you know what to get me for my birthday.

Ode to the Green Spandex

If someone geeky and good-looking proposed to me with this ring, I’ll say yes.  Of course a kryptonite ring wouldn’t hurt either, but this one will do:

Remember the Cassette Tape?

Posted by: User Imagekaydee (Who am I?)  /  Category: fashion accessories

I still have tons of cassette tapes from the 80s and 90s. In fact, I bought then well into the new millennium, mainly because CDs were expensive and young student me didn’t have enough money to buy them.

This is for people who miss those days, when life was simple and the player could easily chew up and throw out the cassette tape after getting everything into a tangled mess.
