I’ve always wanted a video camera, but the price always thwarts me. I’ve taken to using my sister’s Canon G7
to take videos; we had to bulk up on the memory cards, though. Anyway, even if the G7’s a good alternative, battery-wise, taking videos on a digital camera can be taxing. It’s still best to have a separate camcorder so you can take pictures and record videos separately.
So what’s not to love about Toshiba’s latest offering? The Camileo H10, a high-definition camcorder, is here for a slice of the video recording pie. It offers 5x optical zoom, 10 MP sensor, 64MB of built-in memory and and SD card slot for memory expansion. It also has motion detection, image stabilization, as well as HDMI output so you can check out your videos easily.
Price is £180, as this baby’s only available in good old UK.
I’m sure Toshiba will come around and spread the love though, eventually. I’d gladly wait.
