If, like me, you’re a major fan of toast, then this gadget is for you.

I’m all about perfect toasts, and technically speaking, I’ve mastered the art. I managed to figure out just how long each toast takes to cook to a nice brown. I’ve had my share of burnt ones, too, by the way, but practice has rendered my toast powers near unassailable.

Still, who’d pass up this transparent toaster? It looks hot, admittedly, and I sure want it on my kitchen counter. Plus, you get to see the toast as it cooks and you never have to burn one ever again. Besides, just the magic of seeing white bread slowly brown into a beautiful crisp is enough motivation for me.

Geeky? Yes.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s available anywhere. This is just a prototype from Inventables Concept Studio. If it does become reality, though, sign me up for one.
